RUNNER / SERVICE HELP
Location: Nido Restaurant, Manesse Platz in Zurich
Start Date: 1. March 2025

We are looking for an efficient, motivated and charismatic help in service.
With your passion for service and hospitality, you will help us put this new culinary destination on the map of Zurich’s dining scene.
At our new restaurant, the vibrant heritage of Peruvian cuisine meets the world’s most inspiring flavors. An inviting atmosphere, paired with warm and authentic service, will complement the high-end cuisine.
It will be your responsibility to ensure smooth service by managing the flow of dishes and drinks between the kitchen, bar, and dining area.
Key Responsibilities
1. Service Coordination
o Manage the lift for transporting dishes from & to the kitchen.
o Collect prepared dishes from the lift and accompany the Chef de Service to deliver plates to guests, ensuring accurate placement.
o Provide explanations of dishes to guests during busy moments.
2. Table Service Support
o Collect empty dishes & glasses from tables promptly and discreetly.
o Assist in resetting tables to ensure readiness for the next guests.
o Monitor tables to ensure guests' needs are met, such as clearing plates or offering additional service.
3. Bar Support
o Act as a deputy to the Barkeeper, assisting with beverage preparation and service during high-demand periods.
o Help maintain bar cleanliness, restocking supplies, and organizing equipment.
4. Team Collaboration
o Work closely with the Chef de Service and kitchen staff to ensure seamless communication and operations.
o Assist other team members with ad hoc tasks to maintain efficiency during service hours.
5. Health and Safety
o Adhere to all hygiene and safety regulations in service.
Requirements
* Experience: Previous experience in a service or runner role is a plus but not mandatory.
Skills:
* Strong communication skills and ability to work under pressure.
* Basic knowledge of food and beverage service.
* Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities.
