Job Title: Internship in Lab Automation
Introduction
If you are passionate about lab automation, this opportunity is for you.
Your internship will focus on characterizing the relationship between liquids' properties and instrumental parameters, to improve the performance of pipetting robots and bring more medicines to patients, faster.
Duties
* Comprehend scientific and technical challenges related to liquid protein-based therapeutics, with emphasis on formulation development.
* Build knowledge of state-of-the-art technological solutions, including advanced automated systems (e.g. liquid handling robots).
* Study the process and identify key instrumental inputs impacting liquid handling performance.
* Design and execute experimental campaigns aimed at characterizing liquid physical descriptors (e.g., viscosity, surface tension), correlating instrumental parameters with liquid handling performance.
Your Profile
We are looking for:
* A background in engineering, chemistry, physics, or biology.
* An interest in experimental work and lab automation.
* Skills in data visualization and analysis.
* Knowledge of statistics is an advantage.
* High levels of autonomy, but also enjoy teamwork.
* Good knowledge of English.
This internship will start on 01.09.2024 and last for 6 months. Located in Corsier-sur-Vevey, Switzerland.
