The Position
We are seeking a skilled Systems Engineer to ensure the successful development of our complex diagnostics systems, comprising fluidics, software, instruments, biochemical sensors, and reagents. This role will involve owning and managing system-level topics and documentation, including risk management, reliability, configuration, and integrating system components using Model-Based Systems Engineering.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Technical leadership in key systems engineering disciplines for system or complex system component development.
2. Technical accountability for systems engineering deliverables, such as risks, requirements, architecture, concept assessments, and configuration management.
3. Contribution to systems engineering in product development projects.
4. Development of technical documents, including product/technical requirements, traceability analysis, product risk analysis, and configuration management.
5. Ensuring alignment between component development and integration into one system via interface definitions and Model-Based Systems Engineering methodologies.
6. Planning, coordinating, and supporting test series to evaluate system reliability.
7. Supporting system testing during design verification and validation activities.
8. Collaboration with other functions inside and outside the project in cross-functional activities, such as with HW and SW Engineering, Operations, or Customer Support.
Requirements:
1. Bachelor/Master's degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Physics, Biomedical Engineering, Biotechnology, natural sciences, or equivalent.
2. Practical experience in system integration, applying technical skills, and focusing on the 'big-picture'.
3. Fundamental knowledge of relevant methodologies used in systems engineering and model-based systems engineering.
4. Experience with multiple technology domains, methods, etc.
5. Background in development within a regulated environment, ideally in IVD(R) area.
6. INCOSE certification and/or model-based systems engineering is a plus.
7. Practical experience with SysML in general or Enterprise Architect in particular is a plus.
8. Experience in system integration of complex multidisciplinary systems is a plus.
9. Advanced English language skills, German knowledge is a plus.
