Derivatives Trader

The Derivatives Trader is responsible for Foreign Exchange, Derivatives and Structured Products execution for client trades, both for OTC and exchange traded. The Derivatives Trader plays a lead role in participating and delivering projects and initiatives associated with Treasury and Trading. They will backup cross functional functions within the Treasury Group as needed for projects, risk management, cash management, and execution.
Responsibilities
Executes FX spot and derivative transactions for clients, including OTC (FX FWDS, NDFs, and FX, IR, Equity), structured products and Exchange Traded (Listed options) within established risk limits/parameters.
Executes Securities for Clients, associated with ETD, and including equity and fixed income as a back-up.
The Derivatives Trader plays a lead role in participating and delivering projects and initiatives associated with FX and Derivatives.
Backup cross functional functions within the Treasury Group as needed for projects, risk management, cash management, and execution.
Builds and maintains internal and external relationships providing efficient execution of trades including client activity. Promotes automation, reducing operational errors.
Contributes market views and provides market research of major currencies and interest rates, including economic fundamentals.
Insures that activity is governed by proper updated policies and procedures.
Provide subject matter expertise to the organization in Treasury matters, such as Derivatives and Trade Execution.
Other duties as assigned or requested by immediate supervisor.

Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.
5-7 years of relevant experience or demonstrated required level of proficiency.
Understanding of financial products, including derivatives.
Knowledge of Bank Regulation.
Strong analytical Skills.
English, Spanish would be preferable.
Command of banking products (FX, IR, Equity OTC derivatives, structured products and listed options), cash flows, financial reporting and analysis, management reporting, variance analysis and knowledge of fixed income and capital markets.
