The opportunity
Would you like to constantly develop, learn, and share your own experience with the team of fellow engineers and scientists from various backgrounds? Make a real impact on the designs and operations of the whole R&D division that translates to product development by joining Oxyle ́s Reactors Team. We are the main support force of the R&D Division responsible for delivery and maintenance of innovative experimental laboratory equipment and small pilot units. Join us and claim your own projects, we will show you how to design, build and automate complex systems.
Become our R&D Technician Intern and get involved in all stages of prototype development. By the end of the internship, you will have considerable experience in rapid prototyping of mechanical and fluidic systems, manufacturing of experimental units and maintenance of chemical reactors. At this position you will be exposed to hands-on work with a healthy balance of desk activities. High motivation, independence and initiative are crucial as in our team we rely heavily on each other. If you are enthusiastic about the work, and you cannot stand a stagnant environment you will fit right in.
Your key responsibilities
* Rapid prototyping of components for small experimental units.
* Maintenance of existing units and modifications planning.
* Support of experimental teams in preparation of small-scale tests.
* Electrical and mechanical assembly of prototypes and their frames
* Mechanical, electrical and process draft preparation.
* Design, commission, and validate sensor assemblies.
Requirements
What you need to bring to the role
* HF (Höhere Fachschule), BSc/MSc Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or similar.
* Familiarity with CAD and prototyping (ideally Inventor).
* Ability to read electrical, mechanical, and ideally process diagrams.
* Applied skills (soldering, mechanical assembly, dimensioning, power tools use).
* Prior exposure to R&D environment is a plus.
* Fluency in both written and spoken English, German is a plus.
* Have a Swiss working permit or be eligible to work in Switzerland.
