Product Manager for Automotive Digital Marketplace Role
About the Role
We are seeking a Product Manager to oversee the product lifecycle for our automotive digital marketplace portfolio. You will focus on delivering high-quality, user-centric solutions that enhance the experience for both Professional Sellers and Buyers in the automotive market.
Your work will directly shape how these users interact with our products, contributing to enhanced customer experiences and driving business growth.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams to optimize the platform, ensuring that it meets the needs of both Buyers and Sellers. This role is ideal for someone passionate about improving user experiences, enhancing product functionality, and collaborating with diverse teams to bring impactful solutions to life.
Responsibilities
1. Lead a cross-functional scrum team to deliver products that are viable, valuable, usable, and feasible.
2. Shape the vision, strategy, and KPIs for the product portfolio, ensuring product decisions align with improving the overall user experience for our customers.
3. Manage the product roadmap and lifecycle: Leverage market trends, product metrics, and international benchmarks to prioritize impactful projects and ensure the team is focused on high-value initiatives.
4. Act as a bridge between stakeholders, including business, technical teams, and customers, to integrate diverse perspectives into product development.
5. Understand customer needs through research and direct interaction with buyers and sellers, identifying opportunities to improve usability and satisfaction at all stages of the customer journey.
6. Collaborate with your team to envision and deliver innovative solutions that enhance the customer experience, from initial vehicle discovery to final purchase decisions.
7. Evaluate product success using both quantitative and qualitative metrics, including Beta testing and post-launch reviews, to ensure solutions meet customer needs and drive business results.
8. Maintain product quality by taking ownership of data accuracy, process efficiency, and delivering high standards in each release.
Qualifications
1. Fluent in German (mandatory) and English.
2. Bachelor's degree in business, finance, engineering, or related fields.
3. 3-5+ years of experience as a Product Manager, with a proven record of launching impactful products, ideally in automotive, e-commerce, or similar digital sectors.
4. Expertise in mobile app and/or web platform product development, ideally within a marketplace setting.
5. Strong experience working with cross-functional teams (UX/UI designers, engineers, marketing teams) and managing distributed teams.
6. Proficiency in analyzing both qualitative and quantitative data to inform product decisions. Familiarity with A/B testing and data-driven product management is a plus.
7. Ability to clearly communicate product decisions and the rationale behind them, comfortable making decisions independently while supporting team decision-making.
8. Ability to build strong, collaborative relationships across teams and hierarchies.
9. Ownership mentality: Eager to take accountability for delivering business and product outcomes by collaborating with stakeholders.
