In pharmaceutical development, we aim to develop and implement innovative pharmaceutical technologies (solid oral, topical and parenteral dosage forms containing small molecules NCEs) to make a difference to patients around the world by continuous development of new exciting commercial products.
Job Description
Major accountabilities:
As a Master Student or a training placement for 6 months within this innovative environment, you will contribute to elaborate pharmaceutical processing technologies and to develop pharmaceutical formulation know-how for novel technologies. Your work will focus on the research, development, and characterization of dosage forms and their components, and how this translates to the production of innovative pharmaceuticals.
There are a range of projects available which may cover any of the following areas:
Development of novel dosage form technologies
Feasibility trials to understand the impact of new technologies
Characterization of material properties and linking to process performance
Process development activities and assess process performance
Build related models interconnecting material properties and process performance
Compare model prediction with process performance
Summarize and present results in internal meetings
Essential Requirements:
Recent graduate (B.Sc./M.Sc.) or Master Student in e.g. Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Engineering, Chemical Engineering
Special interest in formulation, pharmaceutical technology/processing, and/or physicochemical properties / pharmaceutical material sciences (e.g. powder characterization)
Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams in an international environment
Organizational and scientific skills including curiosity and planning and execution of lab work
Strong communication and presentation skills
Proficiency in English; German skills are advantageous
Familiarity with Microsoft Office; additional packages e.g. Minitab would be advantageous
Desirable Requirements:
Knowledge in additional software packages for data visualization, statistics (e.g. Minitab), or programming (e.g. Python)
