This exciting position, within a Valais-based start-up at the cutting edge of food technology, offers a young and dynamic environment where everyone plays a key role and can contribute to decision-making processes linked to strategy and growth. The successful candidate will work directly with the founders of this start-up, backed by several major investors, and will be offered the opportunity to share in the company's results.
Main Task
1. Design the final, industrialized version of an autonomous, automatic, and compact barley flakes production unit, based on the current pilot plant.
2. Study the current pilot site and participate in the testing of pilot equipment for pressing and drying beer production residues (barley grain).
3. Design an industrialized version of these production modules (200 T/year), which will be integrated into containers and installed at breweries.
4. Implement the technical and logistical solutions required for mass production of these production modules while complying with the QA and Food Safety standards in force for food production.
5. HACCP-compliant risk analysis.
6. Optimize energy and fluid consumption of pressing and drying units.
7. Select the most suitable standard industrial modules for pressing and drying barley grain from the best suppliers.
8. Select and validate suppliers who best meet food quality standards and negotiate offers for mass production.
9. Initiate manufacture, assembly, testing and commissioning of flake production modules.
10. Ensure compliance with defined quality requirements throughout the supply chain to guarantee the production of high-quality barley flakes.
11. In a spirit of continuous improvement, pursue process optimization in terms of energy efficiency, quality, and cost.
