Senior Finance Business Partner Role
This is a senior role that requires a deep understanding of the business area/client group supported together with its results and the key levers that influence profit and loss performance.
* We are looking for a candidate with 5+ years of experience in accounting or financial management, holding a University degree or equivalent, and an Accounting qualification (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
* The ideal candidate will have gained their first experience in FMCG and be a Swiss citizen or holder of a valid required work permit in Switzerland.
* The selected candidate will have strong business and financial analysis skills, proficiency in Microsoft Project, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, as well as excellent communication and written skills.
* The Senior Finance Business Partner will play a key role in driving actions to meet targets (pricing, promo ROI, sales, margin, variable costs, overheads, EBITDA, working capital, ROI, etc.) and supporting strategy development by providing financial performance insights and recommendations to the client group.
Responsibilities
1. Develop a deep understanding of the business area/client group supported, including its results and the key levers that influence P&L performance.
2. Provide monthly financial analysis, insight, and recommendations on corrective actions based on historic, current, and forecast performance data.
3. Interpret, explain, and drive performance within the business, identifying areas for improvement and opportunities for growth.
4. Support and influence key operational and strategic decisions by providing insight and challenge, leveraging analyses provided by FP&A to drive business choices.
5. Translate operational targets into executable in-year plans, partnering with the client group to drive actions to meet targets.
6. Advise on key business planning assumptions, trade-offs, and opportunities, evaluating investment options from a financial perspective to provide a long-term view of the impact on key KPIs.
7. Review actual performance with a view to making recommendations and provoking interventions required to drive down costs, improve margins, and convert P&L into cash.
8. Own and drive initiatives focused on closing variances with the business, ensuring the business understands and delivers against KPIs.
9. Facilitate ad-hoc analysis and insights on specific issues at a strategic level, recognizing the importance of business and financial controls.
10. Provide expert opinion on key accounting judgments to help ensure the integrity of financial statements, reviewing CSR and other management reports produced by the SSC.
