Job Description
Identify the origin of the loss and inform concerned parties.
Handle and investigate incidents and claims regarding the cargoes (especially reefer cargoes).
Negotiate claim settlements with customers and different third parties.
Provide legal assistance (with support from lawyers) when necessary.
Manage incidents with a view of mitigating losses and saving costs.
Assist the manager with various tasks.
Coordinate with insurers, experts, lawyers, and other internal departments (logistics, operations, commercial, etc.).
The Successful Applicant
Degree in law.
2 to 5 years of experience in claims management.
Knowledge of maritime law or the shipping or transportation business world.
Self-motivation.
Ability to work in a stressful or demanding environment.
Ability to work in a team and autonomously.
Excellent knowledge of spoken and written English.
