Responsibilities:
* Fostering strong compliance culture throughout the Group.
* Designing, maintaining and improving the Group’s Compliance Management System for compliance with financial regulations and market integrity rules (including REMIT/MAR, EMIR/FinfraG, MiFID, etc.).
* Managing the Algorithmic Trading Framework.
* Setting up and implementing trade compliance communication programme and trainings.
* Investigating potential breaches of financial and market integrity rules, providing related advice and recommendations and determining possible actions.
* Managing enquiries from regulators and regulatory investigations and procedures.
* Ensuring ongoing trade compliance monitoring and reporting to relevant stakeholders.
* Developing and maintaining a strong understanding of the various lines of business in Alpiq and applying internal and external standards to commercial activity to ensure appropriate Compliance risk mitigations.
* Advising on trade compliance aspects.
Your Profile:
* University degree or other professional qualification in law, economics or other relevant field.
* Several years of professional experience in the field of trade compliance in an international company, preferably in a commodity trading company or bank with a focus on wholesale energy products.
* Profound knowledge regarding Europe-wide best practice standards in trade compliance.
* Understanding of energy industry, in particular power, is an advantage.
* Know-how in the field of internal investigations.
* Personal gravitas and ability to challenge others, ability to find and propose alternative solutions. Excellent communication and influencing skills, ability to inspire trust and promote cross-functional collaboration.
* Team-oriented with the ability to work independently and share knowledge and learnings broadly.
* Business fluent in English; additional languages, in particular German and French, are an advantage.
