Responsibilities:
Fostering strong compliance culture throughout the Group.
Designing, maintaining and improving the Group’s Compliance Management System for compliance with financial regulations and market integrity rules (including REMIT/MAR, EMIR/FinfraG, MiFID, etc.).
Managing the Algorithmic Trading Framework.
Setting up and implementing trade compliance communication programme and trainings.
Investigating potential breaches of financial and market integrity rules, providing related advice and recommendations and determining possible actions.
Managing enquiries from regulators and regulatory investigations and procedures.
Ensuring ongoing trade compliance monitoring and reporting to relevant stakeholders.
Developing and maintaining a strong understanding of the various lines of business in Alpiq and applying internal and external standards to commercial activity to ensure appropriate Compliance risk mitigations.
Advising on trade compliance aspects.
Your Profile:
University degree or other professional qualification in law, economics or other relevant field.
Several years of professional experience in the field of trade compliance in an international company, preferably in a commodity trading company or bank with a focus on wholesale energy products.
Profound knowledge regarding Europe-wide best practice standards in trade compliance.
Understanding of energy industry, in particular power, is an advantage.
Know-how in the field of internal investigations.
Personal gravitas and ability to challenge others, ability to find and propose alternative solutions. Excellent communication and influencing skills, ability to inspire trust and promote cross-functional collaboration.
Team-oriented with the ability to work independently and share knowledge and learnings broadly.
Business fluent in English; additional languages, in particular German and French, are an advantage.
