Sales Manager EU for Flexible Packaging - Consumer & Beverage in Aluminium Business Unit
We are seeking a qualified Sales Manager EU (Flexible Packaging - Consumer & Beverage) for the Aluminum Business Unit based in Lugano, Switzerland.
Objective
Responsible for managing existing customer relationships within the sales territory and expanding business by acquiring new accounts. Focus on increasing market share and sales volume while strengthening customer satisfaction and partnership.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Sales Leadership: Develop and implement sales strategies and business plans to achieve revenue targets and expand our market share in the region. Build strong relationships with clients and create customized solutions to meet their needs.
2. New Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the region. Conduct market research to understand emerging trends, competitive landscape, and customer requirements.
3. Compliance and Reporting: Ensure compliance with local regulations, company policies, and ethical standards in all business practices. Prepare and present sales forecasts, budgets, and performance reports to senior management.
4. Sales Growth: Achieve and exceed revenue targets set for the region. Increase market share and contribute to overall regional sales growth.
5. Customer Satisfaction: Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction through effective account management and responsive service. Develop strategies to enhance client retention and loyalty.
6. New Business Acquisition: Successfully identify and secure new business opportunities, expanding our client base and market presence.
7. Market Insights: Provide valuable market insights and feedback to drive product and strategy adjustments. Identify and act on emerging trends and opportunities in the market.
Requirements
* Industry Expertise: Understanding the flexible packaging industry, including materials, processes, and market dynamics.
* Communication Skills: Clear and effective communication in English is crucial for managing client relationships and coordinating with internal teams.
* Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze market trends, client data, and sales metrics to make informed decisions and develop strategic plans.
* Willingness to Travel: The candidate must be willing to travel and visit customers regularly.
* Negotiation Skills: Effectively negotiate contracts and terms with clients to achieve mutually beneficial agreements.
Profile
* Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or engineering with 10-15 years of sales experience, at least 5 years in the packaging industry, including managing relationships with large, multinational customers.
* Expertise in the flexible packaging industry is highly preferred.
* Experience with strategic selling.
* Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data and develop actionable plans.
* Ability to work under short deadlines and time pressure.
* Fluency in English is mandatory; fluency in Italian and Spanish is a plus.
* Flexibility and willingness to travel (30%).
