As a Solutions Architect at AWS, you’ll build technical relationships with customers of all sizes and operate as their trusted advisor, ensuring they get the most out of the cloud at every stage of their journey.
You will manage the overall technical relationship between AWS and our customers, making recommendations on security, cost, performance, reliability and operational efficiency to accelerate their challenging projects.
You will also:
1. Educate customers on the value proposition of AWS, and participate in architectural discussions to ensure solutions are designed for successful deployment in the cloud.
2. You will build the technical relationship with customers and operate as their trusted advisor. The best interests of the customer will shape the guidance you provide.
3. Internally, you will be the voice of the customer, sharing their needs and wants to inform the roadmap of AWS features.
4. You will participate in the creation and sharing of best practices, technical content and new reference architectures (e.g. whitepapers, code samples, blog posts) and evangelize and educate about AWS (e.g. through workshops, user groups, meetups, public speaking, online videos or conferences).
5. Contribute to the growth of the Solutions Architecture organization by hiring, coaching and mentoring others.
6. Develop areas of depth in technical domains relevant to your interests and your customer's outcomes.

The AWS ISV Solutions Architecture team is dedicated to working with software companies. We’re here to help customers to design and build some of the most scalable, flexible and resilient cloud architectures and solutions – cost efficiently to enable them to expand their business globally.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
1. Background in Cloud Architecture, Systems Design, Software Development, Infrastructure Architecture or DevOps across industries.
2. Technical Degree (Computer Science, Maths, Engineering or equivalent) and/or relevant tech experience.
3. Experience in managing complex sales processes with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
4. Demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product and technical challenges.
5. English business level communication skills written and verbal.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
1. Experience and familiarity with software companies.
2. Prior domain experience in enterprise cloud adoption and operating production workloads on AWS.
3. Knowledge of cloud native design patterns, DevOps practices and AWS services.
4. Experience with or understanding of common enterprise regulations, security and compliance standards.
5. Public speaking experience or passion for creating technical content.
6. Working knowledge of cloud native architectures.
7. Experience working in a customer-facing role.
