Marketing Strategy Analyst - Pharma/Diagnostics

Main Purpose of the Job
The Strategic Marketing Analyst will be responsible for conducting market, product, and competitive analyses to support New Product Innovation (NPI) initiatives. This role involves working closely with internal stakeholders across Pharma and Diagnostics to provide data-driven insights, informing strategic decisions on market expansion and product positioning.
This position will evolve as we gain a deeper understanding of our markets and execute planned acquisitions.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs for our product portfolio.
2. Conduct in-depth research on new product opportunities within the NPI business unit to assess feasibility and market potential.
3. Develop data-driven reports and strategic recommendations for each business unit.
4. Evaluate marketing and communication strategies for each product line and business area.
5. Assess customer segmentation, product positioning, and commercial viability.
6. Work closely with internal stakeholders to align marketing strategies with business objectives.
7. Utilize data analytics tools to assess campaign performance and optimize marketing initiatives.
8. Identify key growth opportunities through detailed competitor and industry analysis.
Requirements:
1. Degree in Life Sciences, Chemistry, Biotechnology, or a related field AND a Marketing qualification (MBA, MSc, or equivalent).
2. 8–10 years of experience in marketing strategy, market research, or business intelligence within the pharma, biotech, or diagnostics industry.
3. Strong analytical experience, including market analysis, competitor research, and financial modeling.
4. Proficiency in data analytics tools (SQL, Power BI, Excel, or equivalent).
5. Experience working with marketing technology platforms and digital analytics tools.
6. Ability to translate complex data into actionable insights for commercial teams.
7. Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
