Social Media & Digital Content Manager
Why does this role exist?
The digital consumer experience team based in Geneva is a growing center of excellence within the Ploom Brand Group, focused on building a modern global brand and digital consumer experiences. As such, we are seeking a creative and culturally connected Social Media and Content Manager to join our Digital Consumer Experience Team. You will be responsible for the global social media guidelines definition and for supporting and monitoring local implementation as well as supporting both global and local content creation.
What will you actually do?
You will constantly have your eye on the next big thing in online and social media culture, identifying emerging cultural trends, platforms and leading the effort to create culturally relevant content, both on your own and in partnership with our network of content creators and producers. You will monitor and measure the plans and the execution across our content work streams, ensuring that the delivery plans are on strategy and on trend, executed through the day-to-day management of our social media channels.
Key Responsibilities
1. Work as a social media marketing expert within the existing digital consumer experience team.
2. Define and translate brand requirements into social objectives and activities.
3. Manage the content calendar and global platform to track comprehensive weekly and monthly reporting to inform strategy and future content decisions.
4. Measure, report and advise internal stakeholders on social media effectiveness, including performance, format, scheduling, and audience.
5. Analyze social media metrics and use data to continually improve our social media and content strategy.
6. Work to agreed metrics and targets, delivering them in conjunction with teams across Audiences ensuring robust evaluation to improve performance.
Skills & Experience
1. Graduate degree or equivalent vocational training in marketing / digital / social.
2. 7+ years of proven work experience in Social Media Management / Social Content Development.
3. Experience in defining and managing social media marketing efforts and global platforms.
4. Experience in creating multi-channel digital and social campaigns, including creating, shooting and editing content.
5. Strong experience in creating messaging and positioning for products and brands, translating them into effective campaigns.
6. Experience using generative AI tools in the content creation process.
7. Proven ability to manage complex projects and market requirements.
8. Excellent English language skills are a must; French is beneficial.
9. Excellent understanding of marketing technology and tools.
