Job Summary: The Senior Financial Analyst Reporting & Planning position plays a critical role in delivering the end-to-end reporting and planning cycle of gategroup. The position requires analytical and business skills as well as extensive utilization of various financial management systems (good knowledge of Hyperion Financial Management and SAP) as well as Microsoft Office Suite. The position requires attention to detail as well as good collaboration and communication skills as the role interacts with group, regional and country level finance teams. Able to manage forecasting and cash flow analysis, creating presentations as required to be delivered to senior management. Main Duties and Responsibilities: Supports end-to-end monthly management reporting cycle by creating time plans, updating templates and guidance, monitoring data submissions and subsequent quality checks all the way to the preparation of EMB and board of director’s reporting. Supports in the preparation of decks and various back-up documentation regarding monthly results to the attention of the Group CFO. Creates, tests and maintains various templates, tools and reports in the area of management reporting such as the Unit Level Performance Tracking, Price-Volume-Mix analysis, Trade AR and Credit Management reports and various customer profitability reports. Ensures data quality and consistency of various financial data cubes and works with the regions to resolve issues. Maintains necessary tools to highlight data discrepancies as part of the monthly reporting cycle. Leads the monthly short-term forecasting alongside the Senior manager, manages the annual budgeting as well as long-term business planning process of the group with templates, data quality reviews and direct business support. Provides support to the business regarding our reporting and planning processes, in particular with regards to HFM input templates and retrieves (acts as a key user/competence centre for HFM). Provides ad-hoc data to other teams and senior management within gategroup as requested from time to time. Run a variety of financial reports and conduct analysis as required using systems such as SAP R/3 and Hyperion Financial Management. Maintains training materials and supports global training initiatives with regards to HFM reporting. Reviews and challenges financial results and forecasts/budgets for assigned gategroup reporting regions. Collaborates with other group functions such as Group Finance and Group ICT on reporting and system related topics. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Education: Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university required (Finance, Business or Economics majors preferred). Master’s degree in one of the above is preferable. Work Experience:3-5 years post-graduate degree experience in finance, controlling and/or accounting within an international, large size company desired. First experience/exposure to consolidated financial statements and consolidation and reporting systems of a large multinational company is a plus. Technical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and well developed attention to detail. Structured and logical approach to handle, analyze and report big data sets. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Knowledge of all finance related topics, including accounting, tax and treasury, preferred. Strong drive to explore and exploit systems capabilities using modern management information systems. Outstanding practical knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (especially Excel and Power Point). Microsoft Power BI and VBA/Macro programming would be a plus. Strong experience with Hyperion Financial Management, SAP (predominantly FI/CO) and SAP Business Warehouse preferred. Language / Communication Skills: Fluency in English (must) and German (is a plus), other languages beneficial. Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills. Must be able to effectively and professionally communicate with different hierarchy levels in the organization as well as demonstrate sound judgment and reasoning skills when interacting with various stakeholders across our global organization. Other Skills: Ability to work effectively with people in a matrix organization. Ability to prioritize, organize and execute assigned tasks and handle multiple competing tasks simultaneously. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and under pressure in a fast-paced, dynamic and decentralized environment.
