System Control & Modeling Engineer

AVIONICS AND ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS
Your tasks involve creating, optimizing and maintaining numerical models of aircraft systems.
* Create, optimize and maintain numerical models of aircraft systems.
* Perform modeling and simulation activities to support systems architecture definition, component sizing and requirements validation within our New Projects department.
* Evaluate system models to ensure a close connection between Systems Engineers and model-driven processes (Model-Based System Engineering and Model Based Design) for airborne software generation.
* Collaborate with systems and software architects to ensure consistency across systems, effective documentation and design for modularity and re-use.
* Support System Engineers with hardware-in-the-loop testing for systems integration/verification.
* Develop and review system requirement documents and certification engineering reports.
Requirements
* University Degree in Mechanical-, Electrical- or System Engineering or similar field.
* Strong background in plant modeling and simulation of mechanical and/or electrical systems using graphical programming environments such as Simulink, Labview or SCADE.
* Knowledge of project management and issue tracking tools such as JIRA, version control using GIT, DevOps development practices and CI/CD process automation using Jenkins.
* Experience in designing and developing system control laws and embedded controllers is an asset.
* Fluency in English is mandatory; German language skills are a plus.
* Ability to effectively engage with various stakeholders, both internal and external to our organization.
