Job description:
On the behalf of our client in biotech industry, we are currently looking for a Public Affairs Specialist.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support the Rare Disease Corporate Affairs Lead in developing and implementing an integrated communications strategy for Rare Disease, including internal and external communications, issues management, brand communications, and reputation management for diseases like FA, SMA, and ALS.
* Develop and share communications on thought leadership, disease awareness, and key milestones such as data and regulatory updates.
* Enhance the organization's reputation in rare disease by supporting and executing initiatives that align with business strategies, building and protecting the company's brands and portfolio.
* Collaborate with global teams (therapy area, international regions, Global Communications, and Media) to create integrated communications strategies for FA and SMA products.
* Support external communications for media and public relations related to Rare Disease, FA, and SMA.
* Assist with media relations, provide counsel to affiliates and international regions, and help respond to media inquiries or issues.
* Advance the organization's reputation as a patient-centered, pioneering entity focused on the evolving needs of rare disease patients.
* Guide and support affiliates in communication efforts, working cross-functionally with global, regional, and affiliate teams within the organization.
Requirements:
Required Education and Experience:
* Education: Bachelor's Degree required
* Experience: 5-7 years of experience in corporate and/or marketing communications
Skills and Competencies:
* Native English speaker
* Outstanding verbal and written communications and presentations skills
