About the role:
We’re looking for a Senior (Quantitative) Software Engineer to be our first engineering hire on Triaina — a high-impact, foundational role where you will shape the product architecture and technical stack.
This role is ideal for a highly skilled and well-rounded developer with expertise in performance-oriented software development in C++, software architecture, and backend services design.
What you will do:
Build & Lead – Design, develop, and scale a robust backend architecture for predictive modelling;
Backend Development: Architect and build performance-oriented backend services, state-of-the-art supply chain models and algorithms with efficient data integration.
Collaborate with Domain Experts – Work alongside our Entrepreneur-in-Residence, data scientists, and engineers to solve complex real-world problems.
DevOps & QA: You are familiar with DevOps and QA best practices.
What you bring to the team:
Strong C++ skills to architect and build performance-oriented software.
3+ years of experience in backend software development.
Expertise in backend architecture, APIs, and database design (SQL).
Familiarity with Python.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make independent tech decisions.
Comfortable in fast-paced, startup-like environments.
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP or Azure) and serverless architectures.
Experience with data pipelines and microservices.
Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD, and test automation.
Experience in supply chain, logistics, or shipping tech.
