As an Application Engineer for our CPDLC solution at Ivy Partners, your duties will include:
1. Managing and integrating CPDLC (Controller-Pilot Data Link Communications) solutions, which replace traditional radio communications with digital exchanges between air traffic controllers and pilots.
2. Integrating solutions, conducting tests, and providing system support in collaboration with one of our experts.
3. Working autonomously in a self-organized team with a continuous improvement spirit.
Your mission:
1. Writing, reviewing, and updating the Equipment Requirements in alignment with the Product Owner using Polarion.
2. Creating and maintaining test cases to provide full coverage of Equipment Requirements using Polarion.
3. Writing automatic test scripts for the test automation environment.
4. Executing manual and automatic tests in integrated validation environments as part of sprint work during the Build phase or as part of the SAT during the acceptance phase and reporting test results.
5. Analyzing and describing issues/bugs in the issues Database, and participating in their classification.
6. Collaborating with the systems end users and other teams to understand business needs and functional specifications.
7. Acting as the point of contact to clarify identified defects or related Equipment Requirements.
Your profile:
1. At least 5 years of experience with the principles of communication between air traffic controllers and pilots via datalink/CPDLC/ADSC (Automatic Dependent Surveillance contract) and a deep understanding of these systems.
2. Proven experience in the writing of software specifications and experience in software testing in the air traffic control/safety-critical domain.
3. High analytical capacity, with the ability to understand end user needs and translate them into requirements for the Development Team.
4. Proven experience with test automation tools.
5. Technical experience with tools and environments such as Linux, Tcl/Tk, PHP is a plus.
6. Knowledge of standards such as ED153/ED109 or ED12B/C are major advantages for this position.
7. Organized with an ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and utilize time effectively.
8. Rigorous, with a taste for challenge to work in a dynamic environment with good team spirit.
9. Good relationship with users/customers.
10. Fluent written and spoken French and English is required; German is a plus.
