A senior Fertilizer Trader is required to join a leading international trading company. The role involves developing self-sustainable lines of business in European markets.
Client Details
This company is an international commodity trading firm with offices in China, Vietnam, Dubai, Geneva, Singapore, India, and East Africa.
Responsibilities
1. Physical commodity trading in Fertilizer, fertilizer raw materials, Chemicals, minerals, petrochemicals, and industrial raw materials with specific experience handling European markets. Develop self-sustainable lines of business as per company policy.
2. Establish and grow a personal desk/revenue stream of clients in the physical commodity industry, driving P&L. Develop trading strategies and achieve medium/long-term business development goals.
3. Establish purchase and sales network end to end in European markets.
4. Explore opportunities for value addition, branding, and collaborate closely with the management team on new products/geographies and pricing.
5. Identify new business opportunities and increase trade activities. Assist and work on other products that have the potential to be standalone businesses or spot opportunities.
6. Negotiate and conclude trade transactions in your specialist commodity area, ensuring end to end/back-to-back trade flow is timely, accurate, and profitable. Evaluate trading processes and make suggestions/solutions to improve them.
7. Build and maintain relationships within the target markets. Communicate and increase awareness of the company’s profile and branding in the marketplace.
8. Conduct market research, track market movements, and create strategies to expand the physical commodities business globally.
9. Work closely with back office and operational staff to ensure smooth logistics/end-to-end supply chain of your trades.
Qualifications
1. Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in the fertilizer industry is a must.
