This is an exciting opportunity for you to join a successful and international team of technically trained support engineers that deliver day-to-day remote telephone support services for Agilent's Life Science and Chemical Analysis customers. Become part of Agilent CrossLab organization, a network of experts who help our customers improve laboratory performance and meet vital business needs.
As a Remote Support Engineer, your primary role will be to provide technical support to external customers (through phone, email, chat or social media) using your remote diagnostic capabilities, focusing on our chromatography and utilizing remote diagnostic capabilities.
Focusing on Molecular and Atomic Spectroscopy products (UV-VIS, FTIR, ICP-OES, ICP-MS), your goal is to reduce customer downtime and identify repair strategies. You will also be required to visit customer sites for installations, repairs and scheduled services. The candidate must be very customer-focused, confident, flexible and willing to go above and beyond to delight our customers.
Your key responsibilities will include:
* Identify customer issues and provide a high level of reactive and proactive technical services in support of Agilent's product portfolio
* Be part of a team of 15 remote technical engineers based in the head office in Basel
* Remote troubleshooting on hardware, software and applications
* Problem resolution to optimize the efficiency and uptime availability of customer systems
Qualifications
We are looking for a motivated candidate with the following background:
* University Degree in Chemistry or Life Science based discipline
* Hands-on experience along with practical experience, preferably in a laboratory environment
* Full proficiency in German (preferably Swiss German) and English
* Independent when working and excellent interpersonal skills
On a personal level, you are autonomous, outgoing and customer-oriented. You enjoy working both autonomously and as part of a team. You have great communications and interpersonal skills to interact with many internal and external partners. You show a real can-do attitude and you like helping others and solving problems. While being flexible and adaptable, you also have strong planning and organizational skills.
