Overview
To strengthen our Intellectual Property department, we are looking for a highly experienced and motivated person who enjoys working in an international environment and is ready to support us with his/her expertise. You will support the existing team working in the IP field and will be responsible for all activities in relation to patents and brand rights. The experienced SKAN Team will of course support you with onboarding and in particular with familiarisation with all Isolator-specific topics.
Responsibilities
* Research and analysis of patents and technical developments
* Strategic planning and implementation of patent strategies
* Preparation of patent applications in collaboration with external patent attorneys
* Monitoring patent cases
* Advising & training internal teams on patent issues
Hardskills
* A degree in engineering or comparable qualification is required
* Several years of in-depth experience in patent work, particularly in dealing with patent databases and patent law, is essential for this role
* Ideally, you have supplemented your expertise in the patent system with training and further education
* Advanced knowledge in the technical field (e.g. mechanical engineering, process engineering, medical technology) is a great advantage
* A good level of English is a prerequisite, German language skills required for team interaction
