As part of a large-scale S/4HANA transformation project we are searching for a DevOps Engineer for SAP MDG to drive efficient lifecycle processes for material master data and financial data, to lead SAP MDG developments.
Lifecycle processes for material and financial data play a critical role in supporting complex and diverse business operations (e.g., real estate, maintenance, construction), therefore the role is both complex and vital.
This is a contract role beginning in January / February, with 12 months initial duration.
Key responsibilities:
* Develop and implement tailored SAP solutions with a focus on lifecycle processes for master data objects.
* Design, adapt, and enhance SAP MDG solutions, including dependencies with SAP S/4HANA and SAP ECC 6.0.
* Analyze business requirements and develop solutions based on SAP technologies.
* Prepare technical concepts and specifications.
* Conduct unit testing and support SAP solution acceptance processes.
* Troubleshoot and optimize the performance of existing SAP systems.
* Provide guidance and support to project teams and business units in implementing use cases.
* Ensure quality and documentation standards for the development process.
What we are looking for:
* Extensive experience with SAP development, especially SAP MDG-M/F components (ABAP, Fiori, Floorplan Manager).
* Strong understanding of material and financial data models (Accounting/Controlling) and their use in business processes.
* Proven expertise in debugging, performance optimization, configuration, and error analysis.
* Hands-on experience in at least one S/4HANA transformation project, focusing on lifecycle process solution design and development.
* Experience integrating SAP systems with external applications and interfaces (IDOC, Webservices, APIs).
* Excellent proficiency in German and English (the project is conducted in both languages, this is vital).
