This position is based in our Principal Operating Company headquarters in Etoy, Switzerland and will be reporting to the Tax Director, EMEA. The overall purpose of this job is to manage Parker’s tax affairs in the EMEA region.
Your responsibilities
* Work with local country external advisors and Parker regional finance personnel to lead and provide support on development, implementation and maintenance of tax-efficient structuring within EMEA
* Provide tax advice and support to operational personnel and finance and other support functions
* Develop, lead and project-manage the implementation of restructuring plans
* Ensure ongoing maintenance and review of structures to ensure future tax optimisation
* Manage M&A tax due diligence process and provision of advice to operations on tax implications of target acquisition including development tax optimised acquisition structure, review of Sale and Purchase Agreements, working with internal lawyers, external advisors and the sellers as required
* Manage integration design including production of step plans for share or asset transfers, mergers, demergers and other extraordinary transactions as required
* Manage the development and the maintenance of tax efficient cash-flow plans
* Work with local finance personnel to manage tax audits and lead on defence strategy
* Ensure compliance with Parker’s Principal Company structure across EMEA
* Work closely with Principal company finance team to optimise structural integrity.
* Work with the Global Transfer Pricing Director and external advisors to prepare and/or update transfer pricing documentation
* Review quarterly tax estimates and year-end tax packages prepared by local finance personnel for US GAAP reporting purposes.
Who we are looking for
* Recognised accounting or tax qualification
* 6 - 8 years of tax experience either in practice or industry - this should include at least 3 years’ experience of managing and leading cross-border tax structuring projects. Principal Operating Company experience a strong advantage.
* Strong analytical skills and attention to detail; committed to delivering quality work of the highest standard
* Excellent time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple, competing deadlines
* Experienced in US GAAP tax reporting;
* A confident self-starter with ability to work independently in a demanding decentralized environment
* Team-player, friendly, accessible, patient, able to interact easily with colleagues from different departments, different countries and different cultures
* Excellent communication skills
* Fluency in English is essential, any other language would be an advantage.
