Summary The main responsibility of Manufacturing, Logistics & Supply Chain (MLS) is to ensure a smooth supply chain for Bühler and our customers - in the regions for the regions. Our 29 factories worldwide follow the BPS Bühler Production System with its Total Synchro principles and SQCDP targets, and each factory in our network has a clearly defined focus. Our 12,500 employees worldwide, including 500 employees in the MLS organization, strive to deliver Bühler products every day at the right time, at the right cost and in the right quality.
The Global Category Management Team is responsible for leading the global strategy and portfolio management. This includes developing and implementing strategic sourcing strategies, managing supplier relationships, and driving innovation to achieve global procurement objectives in the areas of sustainability, quality, cost, delivery, and network.
Job Responsibilities You lead the team of Global Category Managers as the center pillar of the strategic procurement, including Category Management and Lead Buying.
You are responsible for managing and developing category strategy for the entire Group as part of the global procurement strategy.
You define the supplier portfolio for the regions and local markets together with the Regional Category Managers.
You support negotiations of global framework agreements and take TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) into account.
You are responsible for leading global/regional RFPs and cost reduction projects.
You are responsible for the supplier relationship management.
Required Qualifications Completed studies (Supply Chain, Business Administration, Process Management) FH/University with experience in the industrial goods industry.
5 years of experience in category management in a global matrix organization, with at least 3 years in a leading position.
Ability to demonstrate strong analytical and conceptual skills as well as negotiation and commercial competences.
Technical affinity for IT systems (including ERP SAP, SAP BW, SRM systems, MS Office, etc.).
English (business fluent).
Willingness to travel internationally up to 20%.
