Duties
Define and evolve Insurance Finance business strategy of PG3 through time;
Build brand recognition of PG3 in the insurance investment space as a credible counterpart to insurance companies and to potential fund investors;
Build relationships with potential co-investors in the business;
Lead the sourcing, analysis, due-diligence, structuring, underwriting and execution of deals in the insurance space for the fund;
Build and lead a team to manage the insurance fund business;
As part of the above, lead the preparation of the relevant materials summarizing the investment as required by the PG3 investment committee;
Coordinate, lead and manage all 3rd party advisor discussions & workstreams in relation to life run-off investments where required;
Lead the monitoring and management of existing investments including providing quarterly updates (or as required) to senior management and investors as required by PG3 (including NAV calculations where appropriate);
Create and establish best practice frameworks / procedures to be followed by all employees of the fund in relation to deal execution and investment monitoring;
Manage investor relations and assist on fund raising processes as required by PG3;
Participate as part of the investment committee on investment decisions;
Preparing, attending and following-up at all meetings of the PG3 Insurance Finance related governance process including the Specialist Investment Committee and the Global Investment Committee; and
Identification and interaction with all Insurance Finance Fund independent board members;
Develop and maintain relationships with senior stakeholders in the Global insurance finance market including potential transaction counterparties advisors and regulators.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will have:
Master's degree of an accredited university or university of applied science in the area of economy, finance, business administration, or similar field;
At least ten (10) years of relevant working experience in a bank, financial institution or consultancy on investment and respective professional experience in investment management, with an exposure on alternative investment assets;
Experience of insurance M&A, capital management in Europe;
Proven experience working in the insurance investment area is highly desired;
At least eight (8) years of leadership experience, preferably in an international environment in the relevant sector (investment, insurance);
Proven ability to analyze complex financial data and translate findings into actionable insights;
Advanced Excel skills for complex financial modeling;
Technical understanding of European insurance regulation;
Technical understanding of transaction risks and counterparty motivations;
Ability to source and structure complex Insurance M&A;
Proven track record of fundraising; and
Fluent oral and written English skills.
