Our client is a Swiss International Engineering and Construction development company with aspirations to grow as an international developer, investor, and contractor for projects in strategically selected high-growth infrastructure markets.
Based in Zurich, they are looking for a Business Development Manager (M/W).
Position Overview:
The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in driving the company's growth by identifying new business opportunities, forging strong client relationships, and enhancing our market presence within the infrastructure and construction sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Market Analysis: Conduct comprehensive market research to identify emerging trends, potential clients, and new business opportunities in the infrastructure and construction sectors.
2. Strategic Planning: Develop and implement business development strategies that align with our client's goals and objectives, focusing on sustainable financial growth and market expansion.
3. Client Acquisition: Identify and pursue new business opportunities in targeted markets, developing and implementing strategic plans to secure new clients and projects.
4. Relationship Management: Maintain and deepen relationships with existing clients and partners, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and identifying opportunities for additional collaboration.
5. Proposal Development: Collaborate with internal teams to prepare compelling proposals and presentations that effectively communicate our client's value proposition to potential clients.
6. Contract Negotiation: Lead negotiations with clients, partners, and stakeholders to secure favorable terms and agreements that benefit our client.
7. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the project development, design, and construction teams to ensure seamless project initiation and execution.
8. Brand Promotion: Represent our client at industry events, conferences, and networking functions to enhance the company's visibility and reputation.
Qualifications:
1. Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
2. Experience: Minimum of 8 years of experience in business development within the construction or infrastructure industry, with a proven track record of achieving growth targets.
3. Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of the construction and infrastructure sectors, including market dynamics, regulatory environments, and industry best practices.
4. Skills: Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, proficiency in negotiation and closing deals, ability to work independently and as part of a team, fluency in English; other languages is a plus, and MANDATORY: European passport.
