Job Description
Summary:
Support the Generic Sourcing Team's strategic purchasing process within the synergy work stream, implementing innovative global purchasing strategies and off-invoice, rebates, and service fee programs.
Key Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with Category Managers to implement business plans and budgets for generic pharmacy purchasing, including long-range objectives, performance goals, and metrics.
* Champion cross-functional opportunities and support collaborative business plans with strategic, emerging, and global vendors.
* Negotiate vendor contracts to ensure favorable pricing, terms, discounts, allowances, quality, delivery, service, and dating.
* Ensure all generic pharmaceuticals meet established standards and resolve consumer and customer complaints, requests, and questions within guidelines.
* Manage the Generic Sourcing Team's email box and administer generic bidding activities.
* Assist senior management with various ad-hoc projects across the Generic Sourcing Team.
* Collaborate with the Finance Team to manage resolutions with vendors related to accounting/vendor issues.
Your Profile:
* Bachelor's Degree or Business Certificate with knowledge of dispensing, handling, researching, producing, purchasing, and/or contracting of FDA-approved drug products.
* Background and Learning Attitude: A background in procurement is beneficial, but candidates with experience in medical devices, dental, or pharmaceuticals are also considered. Strong motivation and eagerness to absorb our year-long in-depth training program are essential.
* English Language Skills: English as a mother tongue or very high level required; knowledge of US culture or way of doing business is a plus. The candidate should be confident in engaging with suppliers.
* Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills to build trust in our office environment; exceptional communication skills to engage with customers and showcase strong networking capabilities.
* Behaviour and Skills: Cooperative, contribution-oriented individuals with proactive behaviour who are good listeners, persuasive through reasoning and character, and confident in approaching others are valued.
* Performance and Attitude: Willingness and ability to deliver high-quality work on time, perseverance, assertiveness in influencing outcomes favourably for our company, and high analytical and conceptual thinking abilities are essential.

* Able and flexible to work 5 days a week in our Bern office.
