In this role, the Senior Marketing Manager for Distributor Markets Europe & Africa (DM EA) is responsible for developing and executing the regional marketing strategy in alignment with business objectives, budget constraints, and brand vision. This role focuses on driving brand growth, optimizing distributor relationships, leading product launches, managing budgets, and overseeing CRM, Visual Merchandising, and Retailer Activation.

Marketing Strategy & Business Development
* Develop and implement the DM EA business strategy in collaboration with the Sales Manager, ensuring alignment with brand vision, budget constraints, and local market dynamics.
* Translate business objectives into actionable, measurable marketing plans at both regional and market-specific levels.
* Oversee PR and communications strategies, balancing local market relevance with global brand identity through paid and earned influencer campaigns.
* Drive Retail Sales (RS) growth via targeted initiatives, high-ROI events, and an agile test-and-learn approach (e.g., seasonal store openings, gifting strategies, Retailer Coop strategies).
* Support analysis / drive changes in business set up including associated internal / external negotiations (change of distributors, new doors openings).
Distributor Relations & Market Engagement
* Foster collaborative relationships with external partners through biweekly strategic check-ins for priority markets and regular engagements with secondary markets, as well as organising Virtual Distributor Marketing meetings.
* Empower distributors to take ownership of brand initiatives while maintaining consistency with global positioning.
* Lead distributor negotiations on budget allocations, product launches, and market activations to optimize efficiency.
* Encourage transparency and trust in distributor partnerships while driving brand growth.
* Oversee business marketings / reviews across all markets to assess performance and identify optimization opportunities.
Product Launches & Execution Excellence
* Lead forecasting and strategic planning for new product launches, integrating distributor insights to maximize market success.
* Optimize innovations while maintaining budgetary discipline and prioritization.
* Develop and execute 360-degree launch activations across E-Retail, Digital, Visual Merchandising (VM), and CRM in collaboration with local markets.
* Ensure all activations align with La Prairie’s luxury positioning and brand excellence.
Budget & Financial Management
* Own and manage the DM EA marketing budget, including ATL, BTL, and FOC allocations, in collaboration with the Business Controller during Annual Business Planning (ABP).
* Provide strategic budget guidance to optimize distributor marketing plans and maximize ROI.
* Balance launch-specific and always-on initiatives to prioritize key business drivers.
* Conduct monthly financial reviews with the Business Controller to monitor expenditures, mitigate risks, and ensure cost efficiency.
* Partner with the Business Analyst to align FOC distribution with priority market needs, FOC agreements, and sales performance, ensuring EBIT protection.
Customer Relationship Management (CRM)
* Oversee the strategic rollout of the Client Data tool & CRM platform across DM EA markets, ensuring adoption and engagement through the CRM Manager.
* Together with CRM manager, align CRM priorities with the Where to Play strategy, ensuring market segmentation and engagement tactics match brand objectives.
* Develop and implement customer engagement strategies, focusing on recruitment, retention, premium gifting, and tailored retail activations.
Visual Merchandising (VM)
* Ensure Visual Merchandising strategies align with the Where to Play prioritization model, guaranteeing brand excellence in key doors.
* Oversee the VM forecasting process, ensuring a strategic allocation of resources that reflects budget constraints, launch priorities, and key market needs.
What you need to have to be our next audacious and creative talent:
* Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
* At least 8 years of marketing experience, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role within the luxury cosmetics or skincare industry.
* Proven track record of successfully developing and executing marketing strategies in a luxury brand environment, particularly within distributor markets.
* Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities.
* Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms, including CRM and analytics software.
* Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
* Deep understanding of local market dynamics, consumer behavior, and luxury retail trends.
Duration: 7 months contract (May – December)
