For our international pharma client we are looking for a Procurement Project Manager (m/f/d).
The perfect candidate has a University degree in Engineering, Business, Finance or Life Sciences and brings 5+ years of procurement or supply chain experience delivering measurable value in strategic sourcing, enterprise cost reduction or operational efficiency projects. We are looking for someone who will put patients first, act as one team, embrace differences and think long term.

Tasks & Responsibilities:
1. Develop and execute comprehensive procurement project plans, considering timelines, budgets, and resource requirements.
2. Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scopes, objectives, and deliverables.
3. Monitor and control project execution.
4. Monitor and mitigate risk – Proactively identify and report any projected risks to overall targets or timelines as well as potential mitigation strategies. Resolve issues and project risks on a timely basis and escalate issues and risks where appropriate.
5. Planning, design, and leadership of global Sourcing & Benchmarking projects.
6. Lead cross-functional collaboration with internal and external partners; coordinate cross-functional teams.
7. Lead global, cross-functional projects to expand and continuously improve the modern procurement process landscape.
8. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements/improvement potential.
9. Manage backlog.
10. Leverage modern digital procurement technology to drive an efficient, compliant Sourcing & Benchmarking process.
11. Continuously assess and improve procurement processes, identifying opportunities for automation, streamlining, and cost savings.
12. Implement best practices and standard operating procedures to enhance overall procurement efficiency.
Must Haves:
1. University degree, preferably in Engineering, Business, Finance or Life Sciences.
2. High proficiency in English.
3. 5+ years of procurement or supply chain experience delivering measurable value in strategic sourcing, enterprise cost reduction, and/or operational efficiency projects, preferably within a global Pharma or Medical Device manufacturing company.
4. Familiarity with different project management methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall.
5. Demonstrated understanding of major direct spend categories and potential cost levers or market fundamentals.
6. Strong background in strategic sourcing and supplier management in new product development and introduction in the medical device/pharmaceutical industry, or other highly regulated industry.
7. 3+ years of project management experience including risk management, project reporting, and delivering quantitative and qualitative results in complex environments.
8. Strong experience in upward communication and senior stakeholder management, supported by good interpersonal competencies (communication, influencing).
9. Strong capability in negotiation and conflict resolution.
10. Documented international strategic sourcing experience and/or cross-functional, international projects in the Procurement Area.
11. Experience in new product and/or technology transfer processes and requirements.
12. Experience in working in complex global matrix environments; experience from working in a cross-functional setting (e.g. Supply chain, Finance, Quality, Regulatory).
13. Strong analytical experience including the ability to drive insights from large and varied data sources, data visualization applications (e.g. Tableau, Qlikview) and database applications (e.g. Access).
14. Experience with enterprise systems (SAP, Oracle) and procurement/procure-to-pay tools (e.g. GEP, Ariba, Emptoris, SAP).
Nice to Have:
1. Postgraduate business-related qualification or additional qualification in Procurement or Project Management.
2. Life Sciences or Management Consulting industry experience.
3. Any professional purchasing (e.g. CIPS), project management (e.g. PMP, Prince 2), or finance-related licenses or certifications would be considered advantageous.
