About the Global Raw Material Team
Autoliv is the global leader in automotive safety and the Raw Material Team is a cross-functional management team that is embedded within Engineering and Supply Chain Management. The team is not only the technical authority for all raw material related decisions, in line with internal & external standards and regulations, but also a key driver when it comes to VEVA cost reduction, material innovation, approving raw material suppliers, providing data insights, and working towards our sustainability targets, along with other commercial and strategic initiatives.
About the position of Global Data Analyst - Raw Materials & Sustainability
Job summary:
Raw materials have a significant impact on Autoliv’s business performance and carbon emissions, which is why we need data insights to support better business decisions and our transition to net zero carbon emissions. In this role, you will work with various stakeholders in a global setting, reporting to the Global Raw Material Project Manager. The ideal candidate is organized and solutions-oriented, with a deep knowledge on how to structure, analyze and visualize information, and good communication skills to work with different stakeholders.
Key responsibilities:
* Own, maintain and improve Autoliv’s Global Raw Material Data Foundation (including data about material consumption, forecast, pricing, carbon accounting etc.)
* Analyze data and provide insights to support negotiations and the forecasting process within sales and purchasing teams
* Accelerate our capabilities within advanced analytics by incorporating new tools such as AI, machine learning and LLM
* Work closely with IT and other teams to improve the speed, accuracy and functionalities of the tools maintained within the Raw Material Data Foundation
* Build intuitive visualizations of data using Power BI or PowerPoint, and ensure that customized reports are accessible for various stakeholders
* Seek input and collaborate globally with the raw material management team as well as other stakeholders and functions such as material experts, buyers and business units
* Gather, structure, and provide data on carbon emissions related to raw materials and our raw material suppliers
* Improve data quality on material consumption, emissions etc. with relevant teams
* Communicate news and insights regarding raw materials to other functions within Autoliv
* Train users to get the most out of the tools provided within the Raw Material Data Foundation
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
* Strong background within data science, advanced analytics and data visualization
* Advanced skills in Excel, Power BI and Microsoft Office
* General knowledge about AI and LLM and an interest to learn more
* Good communication and presentation skills
* Motivation to support Autoliv’s sustainability journey
* Willingness to travel
* Ability to work independently in a global, cross-functional team
* Basic understand about data infrastructure and system architecture and programming skills within SQL are beneficial
Focus areas for the team:
* Drive material innovation with a focus on low carbon and sustainable materials
* Create the global raw material strategy for materials
* Oversee market trends related to raw materials
* Reduce time to market for material & process innovations, accelerate process innovation cycle with focus on low carbon materials
* Reduce complexity of material variants or grades used by defining the raw material roadmap, in line with Autoliv’s 1P1P roadmap
* Ensure global availability of materials in line with regulations standards
* Execute and input to the segment strategy defined by global SCM teams on raw material.
* Govern all raw material related activities such as approvals, specifications etc.
* Own and develop all raw material data in our global, centralized dataset, providing insights to support other functions
