In this pivotal role as Team Head of Database Services, you will lead a team of highly skilled database administrators and engineers. Your primary focus will be on delivering and operating top-tier database services to support critical business applications. You will play a crucial role in ensuring data integrity, availability, and performance within our organization.
Responsibilities
* Lead a team of highly skilled database administrators and engineers to deliver and operate database services to support critical business applications
* Oversee the delivery of enterprise-class database administration, including installation, upgrades, and maintenance activities for Oracle databases
* Develop and implement database policies, procedures, and standards to ensure data security, availability, and performance
* Monitor and tune database performance using various tools and techniques to optimize SQL queries and ensure efficient use of system resources
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement solutions for complex business requirements
* Provide technical leadership and mentorship to team members to enhance their skills and knowledge
Your Profile
To be successful in this role, you should have extensive experience managing large-scale Oracle databases in a mission-critical environment. You will bring a deep technical knowledge and excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders.
* Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
* At least 8 years of experience in managing large-scale Oracle databases in a mission-critical environment
* Strong understanding of Oracle database concepts, including versioning, replication, and high availability features
* Deep knowledge of backup and recovery strategies for Oracle databases
* Proven track record of troubleshooting and resolving complex database issues
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels
