Our organization seeks a skilled professional to execute category best practices for the transport & logistics procurement sub-category, encompassing:
* Co-definition and deployment of sourcing strategy for the transport & logistics procurement sub-category.
* Realization of stakeholder management to maximize total cost of ownership savings and Procurement's value contribution.
* Realization of supplier relationship management and contract management activities.
* Assure achieving compliance targets with policies, strategies, and processes.
* Deliver committed annual Procurement savings targets.
Key Responsibilities
The selected candidate will execute sub-category strategy for transport & logistics procurement by:
* Analyzing the sub-category and defining category profile, including risk assessment, supplier base assessment, and Supplier Relationship Management strategy.
* Benchmarking category best practices to identify initiatives for improvement.
* Supporting building sub-category specific strategic plan in alignment with relevant stakeholders.
* Aligning strategic (sourcing) plan to financial budget and global business strategies.
* Supporting / governing logistics sourcing strategy implementation to support market logistic strategy and savings realization on sub-category level.
* Executing defined sourcing initiatives as per the 7 steps strategic sourcing methodology.
* Ddelivering internal and external analysis (industry/market and supplier intelligence).
* Consolidating requirements and acting as business partner for business/ other functions.
* Leading/ supporting contract implementation and driving contract compliance on a global basis.
* Delivering the required negotiation outcomes and savings according to the defined savings targets.
Team Collaboration and Support
The successful candidate will support the work and efforts of a cross-functional sourcing team in all stages of a strategic sourcing project within sub-category by:
* Collaborating and aligning with global/ market/ country procurement teams as applicable.
* Driving/supporting alignment of roles and responsibilities on sourcing project level (operating model).
* Driving/supporting RfX execution: supplier selection, fact-based negotiations.
* Ensuring savings methodology and tracking through close collaboration with GFF.
* Working with Procurement and business Leads in global and in markets to implement and activate contracts globally.
* Maintaining tender calendar for sub-category (all markets / regions).
Commercial Supplier Relationships
The ideal candidate will manage commercial supplier relationships with key suppliers within the defined sub-category and market scope by:
1. Maintaining and managing relationship with suppliers identified as key suppliers in the respective category, monitoring performance of key strategic suppliers according to guidelines.
2. Leading supplier development activities; setting up cross-functional review meetings with key strategic suppliers to improve performance and further cost/demand reductions.
3. Managing relationship with key stakeholders and business representatives.
4. Acting as an escalation point for project-related issues and driving resolution in line with global Procurement policies.
