Learning Support Assistants (Student Shadows)
Responsibilities
1. Provide support to students with additional learning needs within the classroom.
2. Motivate students to achieve beyond their potential.
3. Encourage students to communicate effectively.
4. Help children understand instructions.
5. Assist children who need extra support to complete various tasks.
6. Supervise group activities.
7. Communicate with teachers, the SEN department and parents about student progress.
Qualifications And Skills
1. 1-3 years of experience in a similar role.
2. Fluency in English; working knowledge of French is an asset.
3. Relevant degree.
4. Excellent communication skills, discretion, and a team player attitude.
5. Empathetic, calm, positive, motivational, creative, and flexible.
6. Availability throughout the day and week during school hours.
7. Local residency.
8. Clear criminal record.
