Job Summary:
* Evaluate and verify accuracy of financial records to ensure compliance with audit requirements.
* Prepare and post month-end journal entries, maintaining accurate financial ledgers.
* Perform detailed balance sheet reconciliations for designated accounts, identifying discrepancies and developing corrective action plans.
* Lead the preparation of statutory financial statements for the Holding company, Insurance entity, and other subsidiaries in accordance with Swiss Code of Obligations, focusing on:
* Transaction management for group investments, acquisitions, divestitures, and financings.
* Entry recording for dividends, financial income, equity changes, premiums, technical provisions, claims, and reinsurance operations.
* Liaison with inter-company transactions and tracking of liabilities (claims provisions and unearned premiums).
* Preparation of regulatory reports to FINMA.
* Coordinate VAT statement declaration submissions.
* Assist in reporting monthly results to the parent company in Geneva using Hyperion Financial Management.
* Promote continuous improvement and innovation within the Finance team.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, or Accounting, or equivalent qualification.
* A minimum of 8 years of accounting experience within an international organization.
* Background in multicultural and matrix-driven environments.
* Proficiency in ERP and reporting systems, preferably Oracle ERP.
* Familiarity with international accounting standards (IAS/IFRS).
* Excellent English language skills, with a strong plus for additional languages.
* Demonstrated expertise in computer skills, particularly Excel Pivot tables.
* Ability to analyze issues and develop effective solutions.
* Proven track record of prioritization and meeting deadlines under pressure.
* Strong analytical skills, enabling rapid data assimilation and sorting.
* Able to work collaboratively at all organizational levels, building trust and respect.
