Job Overview
The successful candidate will be responsible for handling tasks that require meticulous attention to detail and a strong focus on achieving organizational goals. As part of the “Group Reporting and Accounting” department, this role requires an individual who can work independently while contributing to the team in a dynamic environment characterized by change, growth, and opportunity.
Main Responsibilities
1. Contribute to group reporting and accounting processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal and external standards.
2. Collaborate with team members to deliver high-quality financial data.
3. Maintain a focus on overall financial objectives while managing day-to-day accounting duties.
4. Report directly to the Senior Manager, Accounting and Tax, and support in various accounting and reporting activities.
5. Perform monthly, quarterly and yearly close activities for a SHL subsidiary/-ies under Swiss GAAP.
6. Provide accurate, timely, and relevant recording, reporting, and analysis of financial information.
7. Prepare statutory financial statements in accordance with local GAAP.
8. Serve as a primary point of contact for one/more SHL subsidiary/-ies.
9. Booking of bank accounts and reconciliation of accounts.
10. Cash management including forecast for the entity/-ies.
11. Support in the PR/PO process.
12. Vendor invoice processing, execution of payment runs.
13. Manage employee expenses and support insurance matters.
14. Support billing activities.
15. Support preparation of annual tax returns and prepare VAT returns.
16. Manage and support local audits and support Group auditor requests.
17. Improving and maintaining an efficient internal control system for the entity.
18. Support implementation of accounting policies and practices in our subsidiaries.
19. Fulfill ad hoc requests and other responsibilities as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
1. Minimum 3 years’ working experience in accounting.
2. Thorough knowledge of general ledger accounting and account reconciliation.
3. Knowledge of Swiss GAAP.
4. Proven customer service orientation.
5. Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively across the organization.
6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
7. Strong attention to detail and independent working style.
8. Well organized, being responsible, resilient and stress resistant.
9. Fluency in English (native or near-native level) is mandatory for this position.
Preferred Qualifications
1. Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
2. German: Ability to communicate effectively in English (conversational level or above).
