Role Overview:
We are seeking a Project Manager Automotive (m/f/d) to oversee the ongoing transition and transformation of various business areas, including Production Processes, Quality and IT, to automotive standards primarily at our manufacturing site in Bad Saeckingen (Germany), and also throughout the European Huntsman Advanced Materials organization.
The role involves managing several new projects from scale-up to full-scale implementation, ensuring alignment with the rigorous standards of the automotive industry such as IATF 16949, and work on continuous improvement initiatives.

This role is open in both Basel and Bad Säckingen locations, and is based at the Huntsman Advanced Materials manufacturing site in Bad Säckingen, which is already very active in the production of materials for automotive applications that are exported globally. Role Responsibilities:
1. Project Management
* Oversee the ramp-up of new chemical products designed for E-Mobility Powertrain applications & beyond.
* Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure timely ramp-up of new chemical products.
* Develop, maintain and continuously optimize project plans, schedules, and budgets.
* Identify and mitigate risks associated with the ramp-up process.
* Monitor project progress and implement corrective actions as needed.
1. Continuous Improvement & Organizational Transformation
* Lead the integration of quality control mechanisms at each stage of the manufacturing process.
* Assess current processes to identify areas for improvement.
* Implement new methods and tools to drive continuous improvement in product quality and production processes.
* Train employees to ensure the sustainable implementation of new quality and process standards.
* Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the organization.
1. Compliance & Stakeholder Engagement
* Ensure compliance with automotive quality standards such as IATF 16949 throughout the ramp-up and the coming continuous improvement process.
* Conduct gap analysis to identify discrepancies between current practices and automotive standards as well as develop action plans to address gaps and achieve compliance.
* Support internal and external audits to ensure adherence to automotive standards.
* Engage with customers and suppliers to align quality expectations and requirements.
Experience and Competencies:
What we are looking for:
* Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Materials Engineering or a related field.
* At least 3–5 years of professional experience in the automotive sector (at least Tier 1 or OEM, both preferred) with exposure to quality management and production scaling.
* Familiarity with automotive quality standards.
* Proficiency in MS Office and Power BI. SAP desired.
* Experience in coordinating cross-functional teams and managing large-scale projects.
* Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to lead teams and build relationships with stakeholders.
* Resilience, persistence, and a results-driven approach to overcoming challenges.
* Fluency in German and English is required.
* Preferred start date: As soon as possible.
