Welcome to the Audi F1 Project. The company Audi will be competing in the FIA Formula 1 World Championship from 2026.
The team has two locations. The Audi's Motorsport Competence Center in Neuburg (Germany) is a modern facility with innovative technologies and passion for racing. The Sauber Group's Formula 1 factory in Hinwil (Switzerland) is responsible for the development of the chassis and race operations. The Power Unit comes from Neuburg, while Hinwil handles the development of the driver-in-loop simulators.

Your Mission
* Lead the team responsible for the development, operation, and maintenance of driver-in-loop simulators as an integral part of the DIL simulator group.
* Plan and execute development projects to improve and enhance the fidelity, realism, functionality, and performance of the simulator.
* Drive the design and development of motion cueing and other driver feedback systems.
* Develop and manage simulator peripheral systems, such as audio and visual systems, cockpit environments, motion cueing, data analysis tools.
* Contribute to and drive tool and methodology development to ensure alignment with other simulation models and tools.
* Work with colleague engineering teams to prepare and perform experiments and tests in the simulator, including model development and system integration.
* Support simulator test sessions (including race support activities) as required.
* Support collaborative activities in the wider Simulator and Vehicle Performance teams.
Your Profile
* High-quality degree (Master or PhD) in a relevant scientific discipline, such as Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or Mathematics.
* Previous management or team leadership experience is an advantage.
* Extensive experience in the field of simulator engineering, with relevant experience in F1 or another high-level motorsport an advantage.
* Proven expertise in simulation, including real-time applications, ideally in automotive and/or motorsport domains.
* Experience in system modelling with expert level competence in several tools, such as MATLAB/Simulink, Python, C++, or C#.
* Highly self-motivated and results-oriented.
* Able to motivate and guide a team.
* High attention to detail, pragmatic but with a scientific approach.
* Full professional proficiency in German or English and a willingness to learn a basic level in the corresponding language are prerequisites.
