Your role and responsibilities
Our daily ambition is to make our customers more successful and their operations sustainable. The Medium Voltage Drives of ABB Motion System Drives are mostly used to control and optimize customer processes while saving energy when controlling a large electric motor. Typically, our products are installed in heavy industries such as Metals, Marine, Mining, Chemicals, Oil and Gas, and Renewables.
Our Advanced Customer Support team is the backbone of the global service network to ensure fast and efficient issue resolution of our customers' mission-critical machinery. We convert the learning from each resolved case into product improvements to achieve the highest possible usability and reliability of our products.

You will be mainly accountable for:
* Continuous quality improvement of our products while ensuring exceptional customer experience for our variable speed drives and connected systems.
* Collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive excellence in servicing our products during commissioning and troubleshooting from remote.
* Providing technical guidance and leading the resolution of complex issues during the installation/commissioning of the drive systems and throughout their entire lifetime.
* Providing technical training to ABB's global service network (abroad and locally).
* Ensuring know-how transfer between drives factory and global service network.
* Participation in 24/7 expert support.
* Global travel to our customers (up to 20%).
Qualifications for the role
* Technical education (MSc/BSc or equivalent degree in engineering).
* 2+ years of experience in service and commissioning of Medium Voltage Drives – VSI topology, ideally with a focus on commissioning and troubleshooting.
* Ability to apply a structured and methodical work style.
* High focus on quality improvements and customer experience.
* Motivated to drive innovation and product improvement.
* Ability to act solution-oriented and adapt different approaches flexibly and creatively.
* Good command of English; additional languages are an advantage.
