ERM Swiss GmbH is seeking a motivated market-facing Consultant to join Central Europe’s Corporate Sustainability Service team as a Managing Consultant, with primary focus on business development and project management to ultimately establish deeper relationships with our clients. The role will preferably be based in Lausanne, Switzerland.

Primary Responsibilities:
As a Junior Consultant, you will support the Swiss Liability Portfolio Management and Remediation (LPMR) team in investigating contaminated sites, evaluating restructuring strategies, and assisting in their implementation.
Your role will involve:
* Assisting in the development and execution of targeted restructuring strategies for our clients.
* Supporting project management tasks, such as preparing proposals, budget tracking, invoicing, planning investigations, coordinating subcontractors, and preparing reports—all under the guidance of your team and supervisors.
* Contributing to projects related to soil and groundwater remediation, including feasibility studies, remediation planning, and monitoring.
* Participating in internal technical events (Technical Community Calls) and training sessions (e.g., project management) to enhance your skills and knowledge.
* Playing an active role in occupational safety and health protection, in line with ERM's commitment to workplace safety.
Key Skills & Competencies:
* Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field, with an interest in contaminated site investigation, groundwater remediation, and project coordination.
* Basic knowledge of site investigation methods, remediation planning, and feasibility studies, with a willingness to learn and develop expertise in analyzing environmental data.
* Some experience or academic exposure to project coordination, budgeting, proposal preparation, and subcontractor management.
* Strong teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate in multidisciplinary teams and contribute to knowledge sharing.
* Commitment to occupational health and safety practices, with an awareness of risk identification and accident prevention.
* Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and an interest in Swiss environmental regulations.
* Fluency in French and English is essential. German language skills are advantageous.
