We are looking for a Linux / Windows System & Virtualization Engineer to join our technical team in Switzerland. The candidate will be responsible for the administration and optimization of Windows and Linux (RedHat) infrastructures, as well as the management of virtualization and SAN storage solutions.
The candidate will work in production, pre-production, validation, and integration environments, ensuring performance, security, and system availability. Strong autonomy and the ability to work in an international environment are essential.
Responsibilities
1. Administration and maintenance of Windows and Linux (RedHat) infrastructures
2. Management of virtualization solutions (VMware, Veeam, or vRealize)
3. Monitoring and performance optimization of physical and virtual servers
4. Management of SAN storage and backup infrastructures
5. Automation of recurring tasks and process improvement
6. Level 3 technical support, incident analysis, and implementation of fixes
7. Creation and updating of technical documentation and procedures
Technical Skills
* Expertise in Linux (RedHat) and Windows Server systems
* Solid experience in virtualized infrastructures (VMware, Veeam, or vRealize)
* Advanced knowledge of SAN storage
* Experience in backup management and infrastructure security
* Automation and scripting (Ansible, PowerShell, Bash)
* Strong knowledge of infrastructure monitoring and management tools
Soft Skills
* Autonomy and ability to take initiative
* Analytical and problem-solving mindset
* Excellent communication skills, with a good command of English (B2 minimum)
* Collaboration and teamwork in an international environment
Profile Sought
Experience: 10 to 20 years in a similar role
Nationality: Swiss or European Union
Languages: English B2 minimum, French or German is a plus
