For more information click here.What You Will Do The Director of Procurement, Base Chemicals will play a pivotal role in the understanding of business strategies and development of global category strategies aimed to deliver year on year value, innovation sustainability. You will be collaborating with R&D and Brand Development within the existing Innovation procurement structure to optimize external innovation and unlock value and efficiency throughout the product development process. The ideal candidate will be an experienced leader with ability to manage global teams in remote locations, oversee the development of sound sourcing strategies, leverage supplier capabilities, assets and expertise, linking with Kenvue business needs and matching with market capabilities. This is a people leader position supporting buyers who manage approx. 0.7Bn Spend, support global NPD projects deliver against sustainability targets, and increase resilience in our product portfolio working closely with quality and R&D functions. Key Responsibilities · Provide leadership to Procurement teams to take the foundational understanding of external markets and suppliers landscape we have today developing strategies that will take Kenvue to the next level of competitiveness at par with best-in-class industry players · Develops and manages key supplier relationships to maximize value creation, reduce overall total costs, enhance product performance, ensure supply security, and improve supplier performance.· Works in close collaboration with global R&D, supply chain value stream leaders, quality functions managing performance in joint supplier relationship management (SRM).· Develop forward-looking sourcing strategies that include clear recommendations of core suppliers and potential new challenger (new technologies, IP etc.) to meet Kenvue’s present and future needs.· Attracts, equips, develops, coaches a dedicated team focused on category management verticals as well as collaborates closely with regional procurement execution all under the same end to end responsibility leadership of the Sr. Director. This team of category buyers and regional procurement teams will optimize procurement practices to drive business success while fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.· Collaborates with cross functional teams including R&D, PPM, Marketing, Finance and Operations to ensure a seamless execution of the innovation pipeline go to market strategies, influence the innovation development process and drive alignment of procurement goals with Kenvue’s overall business objectives.· Serves as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, providing insights and recommendations on strategic supplier engagement (i.e. SRM) and procurement sourcing strategies.· Cultivates/celebrates a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion.QualificationsWhat We Are Looking For Required Qualifications Master’s degree,8+ years of experience in direct materials Procurement (ideally with chemicals prior experience).· Leadership: Ability to inspire and motivate teams, set clear direction, and lead by exampleProficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.· Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey ideas, strategies, and feedback with all levels of the organization and outside the company.Adept negotiation skills.Broad understanding of Supply Chain Management.Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively multitask in a fast-paced environment.Proven experience working with cross functional teams to ensure cost control and process improvements.
