A key role in our organization is the IT HCM Application Manager, focusing on data migration for a Workday HCM implementation. This position oversees managing and migrating data from legacy systems to new Workday solutions, including data conversion and integration into the HCM data model.
Responsibilities:
* Data Migration Lead: Ensures seamless data extraction, transformation, and loading processes while maintaining data integrity and security. Prepares and maps data prior to migration, performs post-migration audits, reconciliation, and exception reporting, and identifies data anomalies.
* Application Management: Owns the lifecycle management of current HCM applications, from selection to retirement, ensuring alignment with business needs. Leads application integration to ensure migrated data interacts smoothly with existing applications and systems.
* Workshops and Planning: Organizes workshops to discover third-party data models, define scope, establish data mapping rules, and develop migration strategy with functional leads.
* Stakeholder Engagement and Risk Management: Engages stakeholders for testing, partners with functional leads to synchronize actions, manages risks/issues register, and supports the security workstream.
* Execution & Documentation: Oversees documentation of the migration of HR data from multiple systems (SAP and non-SAP), including recruitment systems and training records, into Workday.
Required Skills and Experience:
* Proven experience in data migration, customization, and integration, with expertise in cloud services and deployment models.
* Ability to perform data analysis and mapping, ensuring accurate data transformation. Knowledge of data profiling and data quality assessment tools.
* Comprehensive knowledge of application lifecycle management, including deployment, maintenance, upgrades, and decommissioning of enterprise applications. Skilled in aligning application strategies with business goals and ensuring high availability, performance, and scalability.
* Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including IT, HR, and project managers.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders.
* Ability to translate complex technical information into understandable terms for non-technical stakeholders. Attention to detail and thoroughness in documentation and reporting.
