Together, let's advance the world of minimally invasive care.Job DescriptionPrimary Function of Position: Intuitive’s Global Public Affairs team is at the center of driving and developing the company’s media relations, advocacy, government relations and thought leadership strategy and activities.The Media Relations & Public Affairs Specialist is responsible for contributing to all facets of the team’s mission to protect and promote the company.The primary focus of the role is to help ensure that the Public Affairs & Media Relations tactical plans are executed successfully to support our business across Europe, in close cooperation with other departments, medical experts, PR agencies, patient advocacy groups, media, among others, also including support of executive communications programs.Roles and Responsibilities: This position will support the activities and strategy of the European Global Public Affairs team, which includes – among others – the following responsibilities in the fields of media relations and public affairs:Supporting external communications activities across Europe (including, e.g. PAG and media outreach, event and project management and key stakeholder engagement)Writing and harmonizing texts, developing and updating factsheets, PowerPoint presentations, and coordinating other internal and external publications in different languagesSupporting in messaging and talking point developmentHelping to coordinate media and patient awareness campaignsOverseeing the development and achievement of various objectives, projects and initiatives (proactive and reactive)Contact person for PR agencies and other external suppliers on specific projectsAttending surgical/medical/thought-leadership conferences and trade shows – as required – to provide media relations and public affairs/advocacy support as neededSupporting the Global Public Affairs Director in her work (administrative tasks, organization of meetings, logistics, budget)Organizing and conducting internal workshops/trainings for regional managementQualificationsRequired Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:Completed studies in journalism/communications and/or journalistic training or training as a PR manager.4-5 years of professional experience in a similar position or agency.Experience in the healthcare or medical device sector an advantage.Must be fluent in English and French, English native speaker and German an advantage.Deadline- and service-oriented and able to work effectively under pressure.Flexible, calm and experienced in providing counsel during time-sensitive situations.Willing to contribute to projects that fall outside of core responsibilities, as needed.Able to execute effectively in a fast-paced environment.Self-starter who is able to manage day-to-day operations while remaining in regular contact with direct supervisor.Ability to travel.#LI-HybridAdditional InformationIntuitive is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer.
