Serve as a strategic finance partner for the Energy and Water/Steam service area, providing financial insights, driving value creation, and supporting data-driven decision-making. Lead financial planning processes for these 2 service areas, including cost analysis, standard pricing, and workforce planning. Manage month-end closing, energy allocations, and performance analysis. Simplify and oversee the Energy True-Up process, ensure accurate accruals, and forecast energy sales for 3rd-party customers by aligning with business demand and price trends.
This position is located in Visp, Switzerland. Relocation assistance is available for eligible candidates and their families, if needed.
Key Responsibilities:
* Business Partnering:
* Serve as a strategic finance partner to Energy and Water/Steam service area, fostering collaboration and driving value creation.
* Provide actionable financial insights and analysis to support management in strategic and operational decisions.
* Develop and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) that enable data-driven decision-making and improve operational effectiveness.
* Quantify efficiency measures and regularly monitor achievement and financial impact.
* Financial Planning:
* Lead the BSR/target-setting process for the Energy and Water/Steam service area, including primary costs, standard material price calculations, and FTE planning.
* Monthly Closing:
* Take ownership of financial results and lead the month-end closing process for the assigned service area.
* Perform monthly energy allocations to divisions in SAP and analyze monthly POV per customer.
* 3rd Party Business - Energy True Up:
* Simplify the Energy True-Up process in collaboration with the energy department.
* Ensure monthly energy true-up accruals in close coordination with the 3rd-party energy controller.
* Drive energy sales outlooks (V3, V6, V9) to 3rd-party customers by understanding price trends and business demand.
Key Requirements:
* 5-10 years experience in Financial Controlling roles in the Manufacturing / Operations area (Both ‘Local’ and ‘Global’ as a plus).
* Strong communication and analytical skills; particularly able to understand complex business dynamics and convey clear and simple messages.
* Excellent advisory / business partnership capabilities; ability to influence without authority and mobilize the organization.
* Agile, ready to inspire changes, comfortable with ambiguity and eager to keep learning and growing.
* Pro-active teammate encouraging inclusive relationships and engaging with internal and external colleagues.
* Committed and able to get results with minimal direct supervision and mentorship provided in terms of broad goals.
