Job Description
The job involves teaching online Management courses in the content areas of Accounting, Micro/Macroeconomics, and/or Business Law.
Key Responsibilities:
* Teach assigned contact hours per semester.
* Prepare lessons adequately. (Preparation time will vary based on instructor experience in teaching that course.)
* Provide clear course expectations, evaluations, and timelines through written topical outlines and approved syllabus per faculty established guidelines.
* Design assignments that demonstrate learning outcomes in a real-life setting.
* Suitably challenge, engage, support, and communicate with students to encourage their participation and learning while maintaining mutual value and respect.
* Provide timely grades to students through college software and upload mid-term and final grades by college deadlines.
* Respond to student questions on a timely basis.
* Ensure course and program learning outcomes are delivered as defined by the syllabus.
Additional Responsibilities:
* Demonstrate quality online classroom management techniques.
* Provide quality assessment of student work with substantive, timely feedback.
* Engage in pedagogical practices that encourage student success and excellence.
* Incorporate faith-based discussions in class forums.
* Participate in online faculty development opportunities.
* Communicate (e.g., email, postings, live chat, etc.) in a timely manner with students and/or ODP staff regarding student concerns or issues.
* Proactively participate with students in the online classroom through forums, messaging, email, timely feedback, etc.
* Notify appropriate ODP staff of any curricular or course administration issues in a timely manner.
* Coordinate with ODP student success coach regarding student concerns.

Qualifications:
* A master's degree from an accredited U.S. college/university (or international equivalent) in Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, or a related field, or 18 graduate credit hours in Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
* Prior teaching experience, specifically with online populations, is strongly desired; however, training and support is provided by Geneva College ODP staff.
* Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.
* Strong organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products and leveraging the Internet.
* Christian Commitment: An eligible candidate must be a thoughtful and articulate Christian and an active member of a Protestant evangelical Christian church.
