Job Title: Laboratory Coordinator
Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Laboratory Coordinator to coordinate laboratory activities and manage equipment availability. The ideal candidate will have experience in project leadership, technical support, and management.
Main Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
* Planning laboratory activities and resources based on the R&D project portfolio and operational activities.
* Establishing and adapting working plans for laboratory team members and equipment.
* Developing novel laboratory characterization techniques based on new challenges faced by CEMEX.
* Ensuring application of safety measures related to laboratory management.
* Implementing state-of-the-art methods and laboratory techniques required for laboratory studies and evaluations.
* Benchmarking available products on the market to monitor competition and new technologies.
* Participating in internal and external committees to determine the evolution of norms and standards in the building materials business.
Requirements:
To be considered for this role, you should have:
* A Bachelor's Degree in science/Engineering, preferably in chemistry or building/construction.
* A Master's Degree in chemistry is preferred.
* 100% proficiency in English, with Spanish as an asset.
* 7+ years of experience in a similar position, including 5+ years of experience in project leadership and technical support.
