Overview
We are looking for an experienced individual to join our Procurement team as Category Manager Direct Spend. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing commodity group strategies to realize cost savings, improve supplier performance, and ensure that our procurement processes support the strategic business objectives. Your tasks will include managing supplier relationships, negotiating framework agreements, and ensuring optimal conditions while maintaining the highest quality standards. You will work with your peers across locations to make the best possible use of synergies within the Group. A resilient supply chain, risk minimization, compliance and ESG, added value for internal stakeholders, and an optimal TCO (total cost of ownership) are key success factors in this position.
Responsibilities
1. Support and strategic management of the assigned product groups in the Direct Spend area.
2. Responsibility for the cross-location management of existing suppliers as well as the onboarding and qualification of new suppliers.
3. Ensuring risk minimization and resilience of the supply chains.
4. Drafting and negotiating framework agreements and concluding agreements (e.g., NDA, SQA, development contracts).
5. Ensuring adherence to and documentation of compliance guidelines.
6. Analyzing options for in-house or external production of goods and services.
7. Central contact person for defined product groups and projects.
8. Continuous optimization of procurement processes.
9. Conducting and documenting supplier audits and representing procurement issues in customer audits.
Minimum Requirements
* University degree or comparable training such as commercial or technical training (EFZ or equivalent) with further training in procurement, supply chain management, or business administration.
* 3-5 years in a comparable position in procurement.
* Experience in change management.
* Experienced with SAP and MS Office applications.
* Fluent in German and English.
* Travel activity of 5-10%.
