We are seeking a Supply Chain & Procurement Manager to optimize our supply chains and the total cost of ownership for parts and services, aligning purchasing processes with business objectives and promoting sustainable practices.
We are looking for a motivated allrounder who is ready to take on a broad role with a wide range of responsibilities: you will develop and implement a global procurement strategy including being responsible for the operational procurement of parts of our autonomous driving solutions. You will analyze and influence cost structures and supplier trends, and negotiate terms to secure favorable pricing, payment conditions, and service level agreements (SLAs). Finally, you will ensure optimal spare part stocks and manage end-of-life components proactively.
Responsibilities:
1. Procurement: Develop and execute a global procurement strategy that enhances efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness. Responsibility for operational procurement including spare part stocks.
2. Cost & Market Analysis: Analyze cost structures and supplier trends to ensure competitive pricing while conducting market analyses to evaluate suppliers’ quality and reliability.
3. Negotiation & Contract Management: Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and service level agreements (SLAs) to secure favorable terms, while managing contracts to align with business goals.
4. Supplier Relationships: Build and maintain long-term relationships with key global suppliers, ensuring performance metrics and reliability standards are met. Develop alternative suppliers for all critical parts of the supply chain and proactively manage end-of-life parts.
5. Parts Logistics & Customs: Manage parts logistics, including customs processes for imports and exports, and handle Carnet ATA documentation.
Requirements:
1. Bachelor’s degree in a related field; Master’s preferred.
2. 5-10 years’ experience in the manufacturing sector, logistics, or automotive.
3. Proven, multi-year success in global procurement with strong negotiation and contract management skills.
4. Analytical mindset, able to use data and insights to make informed decisions.
5. Committed to delivering tangible business results and promoting sustainable sourcing.
6. Willingness to travel internationally as needed.
7. Experience with autonomous driving systems is a plus.
